Frankenstein movie review

Hello my name is Himanshi Parmar. today I want to write an interesting blog about movie screening in our English department we all were very excited for the movie. Name of the movie is "Frankenstein, the modern Prometheus". The movie is a part of our syllabus.

   we all semester one students sit together and close the window then ma'am started playing movie on projector, but the problem of eco sound running through out so, it was created some trouble and we were not able to listen dialogues properly some times, but still the movie is so much interesting.

   The movie has a lot of interesting characters, dialogues, scenes, settings and even a mysterious, horrible sound additions. Which make it more delightful. Some of the scene also make a us fear such like first entry of creature ( Birth of Monster) scene of justin's death, when Monster kill Elizabeth, and at last when Elizabeth brunt her self.

Settings :-

   Setting of the movie is also very well done.just like novel "Frankenstein". creators of movie choosen such places, which were dark, foggy, and in some of the part of movie, there is Jungle too. The Jungle with giant trees, which encumber sunlight, to be found much darkness there. also the shooting of the scene if northern -ice land is done beautifully, some other settings like, big bungalow type house of Victor Frankenstein, lab of the victor, crowded Streets are also portraits beautifully.

Dialogues :-

  

Also movie, "Frankenstein" dealing with many of the interesting dialogues. Most of the dialogues taken from novel. but the style of reciting it, is mesmerised us. Conversational dialogues between Victor Frankenstein and creature is more interesting, and effective. Some of the long monologue kind of dialogues are also included. sometimes monster's dialogue, is in solitude, portrayed cruel society, and the mentality of the society, that only the beautiful is good. if the person is good inside but not outside then no one can accept his goodness.

Characters :- 

  

Characters are similar of novel but sometimes we found that not as strong as novel is. Women characters are few, mainly we found that male characters are in the limelight throughout the novel. and women characters come as a supporter of male characters. Somewhere we find that the character of Elizabeth is more stronger than other women of the novel. But still weaker than male characters like Victor, creature,  Henry and others. This thing show the male dominated society.

  Scenes :- 

   Scenes wise if we analyse the movie we found that it has lots of beautiful, interesting scenes. Also scenes are horrible too. But the sequence of interesting scene, aren't break throughout the film. The film is full of horror, tragedy, and also little beat of love elements are also included there. Each scene of the novel, symbolise something. For example, when creature disguised and beaten by people we found a society, who believed that outer beauty is more important than inner one. Also scene of Justin's death, Birth of creature, Victor's illness, murder of Elizabeth, Death of Victor's mother, scene of University, Walter and Scene of Northern Iceland, Death part of victor and creature, Scene when Elizabeth burnt herself and house, etc.. All are the most intresting scenes among the movie, which we enjoyed a lot.

 But when we compared movie with original novel compared Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, then we found lots of characters make lots of twists to make the movie more interesting and for more entertainment. In the novel, at last creature goes away from the world and decide that he never get back in the society, where in movie creature burnt himself along with the dead body of victor. Also in novel when once Elizabeth died, she could not get back alive, where in movie victor again make  her alive by his science, and experiment, and also the scene in which Elizabeth burnt herself along with house, is not mentioned into the novel.several other changes are also there but still movie gives us a perfect overview of the novel. 

   We all were enjoyed a lot, and understand so many things. The day of movie screening is memorable for we all. Here i am sharing the trailer of movie Frankenstein.
