Bob Dylan and Robert Frost

Hello, I am Himanshi Parmar, student of MK Bhavnagar University. This blog i have written in a response of Thinking Activity, Which is a Part of my academic Work. Which we get after each unit. Here i am sharing one video which was made by me by merging 5-6 small videos. And i put one song which i like the most and which is relatable with my video. And also going to write that, Which Poem or Song of Bob Dylan/Robert Frost is relatable with my Video. Why?

Merge the five chosen shots and upload the video on your YouTube channel with any background music you like.

Here i merge some videos and add music in it. The lyrics of my music is,

Lyrics

Ek din aap yu hamako mil jaaege

Phul hi phul raaho me khil jaaege

Maine sochaa na thaa

Ek din aap yu hamako mil jaaege

Phul hi phul raaho me khil jaaege

Maine sochaa na thaa

Ek din zindagi itani hogi hasi

Jhumegaa aasamaa gaaegi ye zami

Ek din zindagi itani hogi hasi

Jhumegaa aasamaa gaaegi ye zami

Maine sochaa na thaa

Dil ki daali me kaliyaa khilane lagi

Jab nigaahe nigaaho se milane lagi

Dil ki daali me kaliyaa khilane lagi

Jab nigaahe nigaaho se milane lagi

Ek din is tarah hosh kho jaaege

Paas aaege madahosh ho jaaege

Maine sochaa na thaa

Ek din aap yu hamako mil jaaege

Phul hi phul raaho me khil jaaege

Maine sochaa na thaa

Jagamagaati chandani raat hai

Raat hai yaa sitaaro ki baaraat hai

Jagamagaati chandani raat hai

Raat hai yaa sitaaro ki baaraat hai

Ek din dil ki raaho me apane lie

Jal uthege mohabbat ke itane die

Maine sochaa na thaa

Ek din zindagi itani hogi hasi

Jhumegaa aasamaa gaaegi ye zami

Maine sochaa na thaa

Ek din aap yu hamako mil jaaege

Phul hi phul raaho me khil jaaege

Maine sochaa na thaa

Maine sochaa na thaa

Maine sochaa na thaa

This song was sung by Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik. It was published as a movie song. In the movie 'Yes Boss', in 1999. The song is basically Love song. But it talks about hope, Faith, eternal Happiness, endless joy, unbreakable Bond and trust in bond, and many more. Even it includes lot many nature elements which blanch the song. Let me discuss some of the questions regarded this.

(1)Write down the message you want to give from your lyrics.

Starting lines of the song are sang by the female, who addresses her beloved and told him that what joy, what happiness, he gave her and how she is feeling now. She told that she get more than she expect from her beloved. In the starting lines, 'Ek din aap yu hamako mil jaaege, Phul hi phul raaho me khil jaaege'. i am able to interprete that here the writer wants to say that, life will get more easier when we are with our closeones or beloved. And every trouble, problems become easy to face.

'Maine sochaa na thaa', This line shows that she get more than she expect.then in the very next lines, 'Ek din zindagi itani hogi hasi, Jhumegaa aasamaa gaaegi ye zami', we find some surrealist thoughts, sky can not dance, earth can not sing. But this lines represent eternal joy within the speaker. 'Dil ki daali me kaliyaa khilane lagi', which again reflect the eternal, extreme hope and love for closeone. Which represented as a metaphor of burgeon in heart. Also when i heard this song i feel some kind of positivity in me. And the lyrics reflect positive vibes all around.

Along with this i have merged some of the videos, which are captured by me. And which i found related with the song. Each video has it's own different interpretation. Let me interprete that all,

1) first video is of shadow which is waving in the water. It says that, our life is also like this waves. Sometimes we go up, sometimes we fall down. But our life goes on in rhythm and creating one music wich we can call our identity. Everyone is different than other. And each one has their own music of life. Each one is flowing in one particular rhythm. But it is on us that how we listen music of our life. We enjoy it or not, we feel melody in it or not, we sang it in joy or in sorrow, or in frustration, is totally upon us.

2) in second video, there is one sailor who rowing the boat. By this video we interprete that, we should have to decide one destination, or if we have already our destination decided. then we have to walk for that relentlessly. Also it says that, do not loose hope in between the bitterness of world. Here in the video, the sea is symbolize as a bitter world. And the sailor is a struggler, who is struggling for achieving his destination.

3) Third video is of Birds flying in a bunch. Who are flying freely from earth to sky. Above the water, close to sun. and in a flow of wind. Which gave us real meaning of freedom. They don't have any fear of tumbling, fear of heat, fear of tomorrow, regret of past, fear of time, And have no boundaries. They enjoying "now" only. Sometimes in tension of future, we missed out our precious present. We always try to make our future beautiful, but we don't see that the time we are living now is also a precious and beautiful and will never come back. So we have to understand the value of present and should live our life freely from the fear of future or anything eles. Each moment is expensive and we have to spent it for some quality work.

4) Next video is of flowing water carrying some flowers and twigs. And also water changing colour from gray to blue. This is something our state of mind, which i want to compare with it. Our thought are constantly flowing like a flowers and twigs in mind. Flowers represent positive thoughts of mind and twigs represent ill thoughts. Change of color of water representing our mood swings. Like sometimes its gray, pale. And sometimes its charming blue. Then again gray... That how it change. But every Change is normal. It should be understandable.

5) Then the next video is of puppies, we see two puppies in that, among them one is trying to cross the hole and failed and then he choose another way. Which want to reflect some kind of courage and faith in oneself. And give us a message that "never loose a hope", if you find one door closed, another one is already opened for you, you just have to find that.

6) next i have put some videos of some birds, nature, deep water, peacocks, flowers etc. Which is representing beauty of nature. And reflect the tone that world is beautiful place to live. We just need eye sight to admire it.

Here, I elaborate all the videos according to my understanding. And try to interprete each video. Give your interpretation about any video, in comment section.

(2) Which Poem/Song of Bob Dylan/Robert Frost is relatable with your Video. Why?

Poem, "The Road Not Taken", by ROBERT FROST, is relatable with my poem according to me. Here is the poem :

Poem

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

The poem is also talks about hope and fath. It says That, choose the road which is not taken by anyone eles. And make your own new identity. Similarly my videos are about hope and trust in oneself and also the video of puppies reflect the theme of this poem.

I hope my blog will be helpful to you. Thank you!
